Most people assume that when an artist makes a work of art, the artist intends on the artwork being around for a long time. Sculptures and paintings that have been around for hundreds of years can still be enjoyed by art (5)………… today.

But in Tibet, a special type of painting is made that is not meant to be enjoyed for very long. These are Tibetan Buddhist sand paintings. Sand paintings are usually paintings of Mandalas, or circular designs, that are done using various colored (6) ………..of sand.
