A research team led by Hae-Eun Kang, a professor of business management at Renwood University, has just released a report on the nation’s small business. According to the report, small businesses have been growing at a remarkable pace. Over 100,000 new jobs (1) ___ by the growth of start-ups in the last two quarters. Furthermore, new companies are 20 percent more likely to survive their first year of operation than they were five years ago. (2) ____.
